1) Who we are

This Privacy Policy describes how Secret Santa processes information when you use the App.

2) What the App does

The App helps you organize Secret Santa events. For example, you can:

  • Create and manage events (name, date, budget, notes, participant list).
  • Run the draw and show assignments.
  • Create a wishlist with gift ideas.

3) Information we process

We process two types of information:

AInformation you provide in the app

  • Event content: event name, exchange date, budget, notes, participants you add, and assignments after the draw.
  • Wishlist content: gift ideas you add (text and any optional details you include).

BAnalytics & crash information (Firebase)

  • Firebase Analytics: app usage events (e.g., screen views/sessions) and an app instance identifier used to compute usage metrics.
  • Firebase Crashlytics: crash reports (such as stack traces) and device/OS information to help diagnose issues.

We do not intentionally collect precise location, contacts, photos library contents, or payment information.

4) Why we use this information

  • To provide the App (events, draw, assignments, wishlist).
  • To improve reliability (crash diagnosis, bug fixing, performance monitoring).
  • To understand usage (basic analytics to improve features and UX).

5) Tracking, ATT permission, and advertising

The App is not an advertising app and we do not sell your data.

We do not track you across other companies’ apps or websites for targeted advertising or share data with data brokers.

If we ever add tracking-related advertising features in the future, we will update this policy and (where required) request permission via Apple’s App Tracking Transparency (ATT).

Developer note: If your app includes NSUserTrackingUsageDescription, ensure your App Store privacy answers match your actual behavior.

6) Third-party service providers

We use Google Firebase services to help operate the App:

  • Firebase Analytics (usage analytics)
  • Firebase Crashlytics (crash reporting)

These services may process data on our behalf to provide analytics and crash reporting. You can review Google’s Privacy Policy here: https://policies.google.com/privacy

7) Data retention

  • Event & wishlist content: kept while your events exist (or until you delete them, if the App provides deletion).
  • Crash/analytics data: retained for as long as needed to monitor stability and improve the App, and according to Firebase settings.

8) Your choices & rights (EEA/GDPR)

Depending on your location, you may have rights such as access, correction, deletion, restriction, and data portability.

9) Security

We use reasonable safeguards to protect information, but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

10) Credits / Attribution (Freepik)

Some illustrations or graphical assets in the App are licensed from Freepik under a free license that requires attribution.
